Guest registration for Night to Shine 2027 opens Thursday, November 12 at 10:00 am Central. Space is limited to 200 honored guests and fills quickly, so plan to register right at 10:00.

Honored Guests

Guests ages 14 and older with special needs are invited to a night built just for them: red carpet, dancing, dinner, karaoke, photos, and a crowning ceremony. There is no cost to attend.

It takes hundreds of volunteers to make the night shine — buddies, hair & makeup, limo escorts, paparazzi, kitchen, and more. Pick a spot that fits you.

A background check is completed during sign-up and is valid for two years. If yours from 2026 is on file, you're all set.

Night to Shine is free for every guest. Your gift covers dinner, decorations, corsages and boutonnieres, gift bags, and the crowns and tiaras each guest takes home.

A worldwide celebration of people with special needs

Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom-night experience, centered on God's love, honoring and valuing people with special needs ages 14 and older.

Every year on the Friday before Valentine's Day, churches across the globe host Night to Shine at the same time — bringing congregations, communities, and families living with disability closer together in fellowship. Here in Minnesota, Holy Cross Lutheran Church and St. Michael's Lutheran Church partner to host our local celebration.

Each honored guest walks the red carpet, is paired with a volunteer buddy for the evening, and enjoys dinner, dancing, karaoke, a photo booth, and limo rides — all before being crowned king or queen of the prom.

People with disabilities make up roughly 16% of the global population and are one of the largest unreached people groups in the world. Night to Shine began as a way to reach this community with the love of Christ.
